TIM SMITH specialises in interim management and consultancy assignments, particularly performance and quality improvement, in local authority adult education and skills services and third-sector training organisations.
He has over 40 years experience as a teacher in higher education, a leader in the manufacturing sector and latterly a civil servant working on quality and performance improvement across further education and work-based learning.
Since retiring, from the civil service, Tim has been an interim manager with both outstanding and good adult education providers. He has also worked with large employers, FE colleges and training organisations to improve their delivery performance and quality as well as their governance, leadership and management
